About Tower Hill Resources
Overview
Bill Musick, Principal Consultant, founded Tower Hill Resources (THR) in order to help public benefit organizations maximize their potential as they make decisions at key junctures in their organization’s life. The practice focuses on excellence in Board Development, Ethics and Accountability, Strategic Positioning, and Hospice Care Centers.
Bill’s work in board development encompasses assessment, training, and action planning with boards of all types of nonprofit organizations. He has completed training with Hildy Gottlieb of the Community-Driven Institute, BoardSource and the Alliance for Nonprofit Management. He is a member of the Advisory Council for the Community-Driven Institute and the Governance Practice Group of the Alliance for Nonprofit Management, a think tank of practitioners from the U.S. and Canada. Bill has also implemented changes in board expectations and policy as Vice Chair of the Board and Chair of the Governance Committee of St. Luke’s Hospital in San Francisco. His board experience includes the Sutter Health System Visiting Nurses and Hospice Foundation and the San Francisco AIDS Foundation.
Bill is a licensed consultant of the Standards for Excellence Institute, a national initiative to promote the highest standards of ethics and accountability in nonprofit governance, management and operations. As such, he performs training and evaluation related to best practices that increase awareness and help organizations achieve the highest standards of ethics and accountability in the governance and operations of their organization. Ethics, transparency and accountability are themes that often work themselves into all areas of consulting in which THR is involved.
The Strategic Positioning work of THR includes all non-profit endeavors, but is heavily focused on hospice care. THR’s work with hospices is typically performed in conjunction with The Corridor Group (TCG), a national consulting organization with which THR has been affiliated for almost fifteen years. Mr. Musick conducts market and financial analyses for hospices across the country, and is considered a national expert on the feasibility and development of hospice care centers. He represents TCG on the National Hospice Work Group Inpatient Forum, a “think-tank” of progressive hospices focused on sharing best practices.
